AMF THURSDAY

This week I start a new side job, a 1970 something AMF Ironhead Sportster…….leaky side cover, ticking motor…..gorgeous bike with quite a bit of patina (i.e. rust!)…..Let’s get into it…..

AMF SPORTSTER TANK 1Pretty cool parts about this bike………the tank and fenders were hand painted………

AMF THURSDAY

1965 Vespa Super 150 out of the garage and into the hands of the owner

I was very very happy to get the Vespa Super 150 I have been working on done. Down the list of updates made….

  1. Scooterworks EIK 12 volt updated wiring (what a pain in the ass…no instructions!!!)
  2. Lapped the Cylinder Head, fixing it from where the previous owner had used Yamabond (thanks guy!! What a mess!)
  3. Torqued the entire scooter. Tack welded the front axle after learning it had come loose after riding once. There are no slots for cotter pins…..WOW!
  4. Making woodruff key after woodruff key because the new flywheel wouldn’t seat on the crank…..frustrating!!!

All in all, I learned more about Vespa Large Frame scooters than I ever wanted to know……I love motorcycles and that’s really all I need to know :)

So this is a video of the Zonda Nonno……this was the test bed for development (from what I have read around the web) of the production Zonda……….a test vehicle with Ostrich Interior that sounds like it should be racing in F1….I’ll take two please.

I set up the link so the video starts at 49 seconds and skips a bunch of gibberish….why not get right to the good stuff….that may or may not work………but at 49 seconds turn your speakers up.
